While I hate that the government is forcing sites such as tribe to censor themselves, I am willing to comply with what tribe is asking its membership to do regarding sexually explicit photos in order to be allowed to keep this tribe going. I am taking down all photos that contain any nudity or bdsm. But don’t worry – I will be replacing them with just as sexy shots from the same sets that comply with the new rules. You will just have to go join the site to see these lovely ladies in the buff!

I think that tribe is doing its best to find some sort of middle ground where they are complying with the government’s new laws to keep from being shut down, while still catering to us pervs. Bitching to tribe about censorship and morality is not going to help the situation. If you really want to bitch at someone – write your local congressman and tell them to stop dicking around and actually represent us and what we believe in. I think that these pornography laws are going to finally make all the lazy, apathetic non-voters out there decide to get involved in politics because something is finally affecting them personally. And yes, I am one of them.

To do some immediate good go join the Free Speech Coalition: www.freespeechcoalition.com/

i have to agree with you penny (even though it seems to be the minority position) but i don't blame tribe for the new tou standards, they didn't make up the law and we all are getting free web space here. i am on several other paid sites that have had to do some similar changes. i agree write the free speech coalition, write your congressman/woman. vote the clowns out of office, just don't blame tribe for covering their asses (and in a sense ours)

Having been a long time board member of the Coalition Against Censorship in Kansas City... I have a pretty good idea that with enough letters, phone calls and getting people to vote their conscience, they can actually get something done.

Sadly, people tend to sit by as various things get censored and then get all up in arms when it comes time for something that they love or appreciate to get the axe. Too often, it's too late then.

Hopefully, people can get on the bandwagon and fight the government over this stupid attack on our free speech rights.

I'm in Germany now and there's nudity everywhere. Hell, there are sex shops in nearly every little town and in the major airports. People are even allowed to be born naked here. It's amazing! What a civil way to live.

Yes, it sucks, but continue to do what you can.
